Review Detail

An odd little movie that at times has the feel of a documentary or a reality show.  Without the Hollywood sheen, it is visually so realistic and also very inventive..  And it is wonderfully acted. Based on actual, less than perfect, people who are part a specific somewhat geeky niche of society. It is so engaging and off beat. And Paul Giamatti once again proves how authentically he can inhabit a divergent array of characters . The movie is wonderfully cast and you find yourself caring about these people, as unusual and somewhat unlikable as they can be at times. It is definitely not cookie-cutter and at least for me, was a window into a different world.
