Beautiful Disaster is a romantic comedy involving two characters who are complete opposites.  Abby Abenathy, played by  Virginia Gardner, is a college freshman who decides that she wants to start college fresh - get good grades by focusing on her studies and leave her past behind.  She meets Travis Maddox, played by Dylan Sprouse, who is actually the "bad boy' on campus who is known for getting into fights and his romantic escapades, with his one-night stands.  After a string of events they agree to bet, that if Travis wins a fight then Abby will move in and become his roommate for a month.  If he loses the fight, he has to abstain from sex for a month.  Sounds like a stupid movie, right?  Well, it actually holds ones attention and draws the viewer into the story as the story weaves together the intense drama, the chemistry between the actors and  their personal struggles and the occasional moments of comedy scattered throughout.  Drawn into the characters' personal journeys allows the viewer to empathize with them and understand their emotional turmoil and this is what makes the movie worthwhile, and not just the typical good girl - bad boy drama.
