Titanic was one movie that I had no desire to see, as I knew the story of the maiden voyage of the Titanic and it's sad end and wasn't interested in seeing any movies about it. I was convinced by co-workers to watch the movie and throughout I couldn't break away from the haunting story and the music has remained in my mind. Leonardo DiCaprio was excellent as Jack, as was Kate Winslet, as Rose. The romance between the two main characters was very authentic, although I found that this was not based on fact but added to the story of the sinking of the luxury liner. The movie was long but one can get a picture how the rich lived in 1912, with their fine clothes, jewels and "servants" bowing to them. Although a lot was added to the story for the romance and human interest, it was entertaining and one feels the terror of the disaster that took so many lives and is still a mystery.
