A thriller with twists and turns. First significant role for Sharon Stone and she nails it- she is sexy and always a borderline sociopath. At the time it was released the sex scenes were considered very bold.
Michael Douglas always shines and is very effective as the detective who is captivated by her. Unexpected plot twists, especially with the police psychologist . It kept me on the edge of my seat till the final stunning scene.

I love this movie. I remember when it first came out in the theater and that scene came up. It is one of the best scenes in movies ever in my opinion. You know what scene I am talking about, and that it is why it is so iconic. The suspense and acting in the movie is phenomenal. The cliffhanger at the end really tops off the movie for a great ending. This was Sharon Stone's breakout role and she really nails it. If you haven't seen this movie yet you should soon. Yes, there is a lot of violence and sexual content in it, but not gratuitous. The scenes are appropriate for the storyline and well done.
